Special Needs

This area is really dedicated to the teachers who work with special needs children.

I would like to publicly thank Heather who is a member of my group for sharing her ideas and suggestions with me. Heather works with special needs children, and has been very kind to share with me how she adapts materials to meet the needs of her students.

When I started the Early Learning Printables group, I had a goal in mind to create a place to share high quality learning materials. It became more personal as I got to know some of the teachers and child care providers that work with special needs children. Special needs children are often overlooked. Teachers often have a difficult time locating free to low-cost materials to use so they improvise using things of their own.

Over the last few weeks, a lot of special education teachers have joined the group. I look forward to picking their brains and finding out what I can do to help them.

If you are a special education teacher, and you would like some assistance obtaining learning materials for your classroom — feel free to email me with your suggestions/requests. You are most welcome to share anything I create with your fellow teachers as well!

It takes a very special person to work with children that may have special needs.
